01 · The Challenge

GISFS, an organisation under the Government of Gujarat, ran on paper, spreadsheets, and a decades-old Visual Basic system. Payroll for a large, dispersed security workforce was manual and error-prone, assets were tracked on registers with no clear lifecycle, and accounting lived in disconnected files, so there was no single, auditable view across the organisation.
